1. Air tech challenge hybrid. These were the sneakers seared into my brain. As a child growing up, my grandma would buy my brother and I a new pair of sneakers for the new year. I wore these as a third grader to the ground. They were my absolute favorite. And so when I found out they were rereleasing, I had to pick them up. And I did purchase them with a quick virtual stroll to nike.com and my credit card number. Back then it must’ve cost my grandma a good chunk of her minimal social security checks just to selflessly provide for her spoiled grand kids. Looking at these sneakers make me thankful of the lean times I had growing up and how good we have it now.
